Last night we joined Ricks friends, Tracy, Paul, and Annie at the Candilla restaurant in Lajitas for a wonderful dinner. We wanted to get back to Cattail Falls while we were down here. We seemed to have regained some energy so we dragged Rick along with us and headed to the park. This trail is not marked on the park maps but word has gotten around. When we pulled into the trailhead parking lot, there were 6-7 other vehicles there. They have pushed the parking area about a mile further away from Oak Creek. The hike was wonderful. The falls were flowing very well and there was more water in the area than we had seen there in quite a while. The falls were beautiful as usual. Although there were other people at the falls, they did not stay long so we did get sometime for peace and quiet. We have so many great memories from this area. That extra mile from Oak Creek to the parking area seemed to take forever on the way back.
