We met up with Gil and Aprille and drove down CA1 to a pair of trails. We hiked the Soberanes Canyon/Garrapata trail inland until we got to some old Redwoods back in the canyon about a mile. We then returned to CA1 and crossed over to hike a couple of miles along the coast with beautiful views. We then headed down to Rocky Point for a wonderful lunch. Sitting in the sun with a cool ocean breeze, good friends, good food, and a nice wine. After lunch we weren’t ready to yet part company. We all seemed to enjoy being together and share stories and experiences. We agreed to visit a favorite winery tasting room of Gil and Aprille’s, Galante Vineyards. We had a wonderful tasting experience and ended up buying a bottle for us all to share and a couple to come home with ending “Another Best Day!” as Gil and Aprille like to say.
